For the digital media project, I am going to put together a video about my little sister that my family adopted from China. I will use pictures and video to show and document our trip to China to pick her up. Katherine has had such a big impact on my life in so many ways I would like to put together a project about my family’s journey. I’d like to show the audience my little sister and maybe a little about what its like to adopt a child from another country.

I think this sounds like a very interesting video, Matt, and it is appropriate since you are not planning to teach. You might, however, focus it on how your cultural awareness has increased since her adoption. For example, what have you learned about Chinese culture? In what ways have you learned to be more culturally sensitive? Also, what programs/processes do you plan to use to create your final project? I look forward to seeing your final project!
